WHAT IS ABEYAANTRIX
A significant aspect of Abeyaantrix is that this annual fest of JIST (Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology), Assam, brings under a single umbrella students pursuing non-engineering as well as engineering courses.

Often searched in social networking websites as ‘Abx’, it is a blend of various Abeyaantrix is one of the most looked after techno-cultural festivals across India.
‘Abx’ is largely organised by the students. It is a non-profit techno-cultural fest.
This popular event was founded in 2011. The event is sponsored by the ‘Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology, Assam’.
ETYMOLOGY
The compound term ‘Abeyaantrix’ is derived from the Sanskrit word “अभियांत्रिकी” which means ‘engineering’. The root word is “अभियंता”. The connotation of “अभियंता” in Hindi/ Sanskrit or “অভিযন্তা” in Assamese is ‘engineer’.
THE EVENT
Among the items featured annually held are workshops, robotics, debate, games, fashion show, and cultural night.
In 2015, ‘Abyx’ witnessed an audience of 1 lakh.
MAYAAN
Mayaan is spruced up with varied informative write-ups including articles and poems by the students of JIST. It also includes writings from the faculty members of the institute. The souvenir also publishes writings by guest writers as well.
It features intellectually enervating cultural, technical plus social events. It is published annually by team Abeyaantrix to commemorate the events held during the fest. Mainly it is released at the inauguration ceremony of Abeyaantrix in the presence of the guests.
